Contra, easily one of the most popular NES games. I haven't played it in a long time until just a few days ago, when me and a friend started playing. I decided to do a speed run and here it is :D. Slipped a couple times in stage 3 and in stage 7 Should have skipped the B as it took too long and I really didn't need it. Oh well, enjoy.

This is a video of me, Tasselfoot, getting all 100 achievements in jmtb02's game Achievement Unlocked. One of the achievements is for playing the game for 300 seconds, so that was my final achievement... giving me a final completion time of 301 seconds. But, I was waiting around for 34 seconds (as per real time) between getting my 98th and 99th/100th achievement (100th is for getting all the other 99). One note is that real time, I got the 300 second award after approximately 330 seconds. I noticed some lag while playing, so likely the 300 seconds is based off of frames and not real time. Hence the difference. Which means the 300 is really 330 and the 267 is really 296. Confusing, right? Regardless, I finished all the achievements 34 seconds before getting the 300 second achievement. I think I could get 10-15 seconds faster with a fully optimized and flawless run, but this will do... it was only the 4th time I played the game. Previous runs were incomplete, 445, and 348. At first there were 70 stars because Bowser demanded it. Then there were 16 stars because MIPS demanded it. Then there was 1 star because Bowser's Sub demanded it. Now there are none because the players at the site which made this movie are impatient and demanded the game be quicker. This run is played with an emulator, slowdown and flagrant abuse of save-states to correct any minor mistakes. As a result, Mario is not being controlled by a mere mortal and he can consistently do things a real human cannot. I would've just uploaded the full movie and not two parts, but the video quality was so poor that I said screw it. End time: 46:38 Score: 1070 On to the run...I only lost one continue, which is pretty good considering one could easily spend 4 dollars to beat the game instead of 75 cents (50 to start, 25 to continue). Most of the strategies used are taken from the no-death segments (and some are improved). If someone can beat this game in one go on one continue, I would worship them forever.
