This documentary exposes a vast conspiracy to contaminate and control the world's food supply through genetic engineering of food crops. Leading scientists and activists present the facts that you need to know about genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The methods used to genetically engineer plants are imprecise and extremely dangerous. Eighty percent of food sold in North America already has ingredients made of GMOs that have not been adequately tested for safety. This program presents all the facts about this alarming controversy and features the most credible bio tech / agriculture authorities in the world today. Now on DVD, Catalog #K596 and #K652. Willy Whitefeather was the visionary who inspired the award-winning animated short film "HOPE," directed by Catherine Margerin, and produced by Mary Mathaisell.
In "Vision Seed," images of Whitefeather himself are overlaid against the backdrop of "HOPE," the original short film, as the viewer is carried into the story with Whitefeather's own voice as narrator. What was once an fantastic journey told in spectacular imagery, and sound, has now been blessed with the added beauty of the oral tradition; a legacy which Whitefeather upholds.
Modern-day mythmaker, and storyteller for young and old alike, Whitefeather provides a vision carried from the ancients into modernity, of hope that human beings may one day move beyond just tolerance to an embrace of all differing views, peoples, and beliefs: An embrace that holds within it a joyous acceptance, and bliss that naturally compels humankind toward service, and the help of all creation.
Whitefeather's seed has germinated, sprouted, and branched out to people around the world, like a contemporary Kokopelli spreading seeds for future generations, Whitefeather's vision has also made it's way into the documentary film, "Dance With Destiny."
Filmmaker Bruce Weaver met Whitefeather while developing his documentary film about the future of humanity, as we currently sit dangerously close to the edge of possible extinction, environmental collapse, and careless distruction of our home; the Earth.
Willy Whitefeather is the copyright holder to "HOPE," and has provided director Bruce Weaver with permission to use the film "HOPE" both in his film "Dance With Destiny," in this one, ""VISION SEED."

OH MY GOSH THIS GOT FEATURED?!
Wow! Thanks Youtube! This song is for my love. And for all those stories you hear that make you go "awwww". Can I just also say that i am RIGHT HANDED - photobooth is a deceiving, mirror-imaging program! haha!
http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/in-love-for-life/2008/07/30/1217097331289.html
This is still very rough around the edges. It isn't finished. I kinda made up the ending on the spot each time I tried to record this so it's not how it will eventually sound. But this will have to do for now. x
P.S. Ahhhh PHOTOBOOTH. To hell with your out of sync, pixel-ly tomfoolery! Also, if you watch this in high quality i won't be so blurry.
LYYYY--RRRRRR---IIIII----CCC---SSSU
"You and me,"
Said the raindrop to the seed
"WE'll make a winning team won't we?
Cause when I fall down
You'll become a pretty flower
And I'll be finally free
From the shackles of this cloud
And the sun will shine
And we'll make the most of life
Come, we haven't got much time
'Cause all living things must die
But I will nurture you
'Til your petals turn to white
And you will hold me close
Until the last drop of me dries"
'Cause you and me
We have each other
And that's all we need
The place I'll call my home
Is anywhere that you will be
You and me
(should be) MAY never make a mark on the shape of history
But I'm glad you came to make your mark on me
So darling when I lie down
I hope you'll be around
To lay your roses down over me
'Cause I'd never keep
To watch you fall asleep
I wouldn't last the day
Without you standing next to me
Through a satellite lens
We are just a tiny speck
Oh, of little consequence
In the greater scheme of things
But from down here
In our private little sphere
The colours are in focus
And the picture's crystal clear
'Cause you and me
We've got each other
And that's all we need
The place I'll call my home
Is anywhere that you will be
You and me
(should be) MAY never make a mark on the shape of history
But I'm glad you came to make your mark on me
Yeah I'm glad you came to make your mark on me.

http://www.recordedamigagames.org
(Intro + outro has been included)
I got my hands on the CD32 version of Darkseed and decided to record this one aswell. The floppy version of darkseed is about 6 mbs and have some speech in it and the CD32 is about 17 mbs. What's new with this version is that there is much more speech, and some changes has been made; some good, some bad.
One odd thing though is that the CD32 version seem to have less colors in some scenes and animations compared to the floppy version... strange. Another thing that look bad in the CD32 version is the "FOR SALE" sign infront of the house in the outro, because in the floppy version it looked great, but in the CD32 version they have replaced the detailed text with HUGE letters "FOR SALE", they havn't even bothered to tilt them for better look. Well, you can see and compare for yourself.
Ok, at closer look they have replaced the sign that the text is on aswell, and the sign is not as much tilted as the one in the floppy version, but still, they should tilt the text a bit :)
The CD32 version is of course better :), more speech, some of the old voices has been replaced with new and better ones... except the alien police, his voice in the floppy version was much cooler, also the alien chick on the phone talking about the mirror, her voice was better in the floppy aswell. Also bigger and clearer text now, so they have increased the size of the text box by making the bottom a few pixels smaller to make room for the new font sized rows.
Some text has been change aswell.. some for the better, others for the worse, like:
Floppy version:
A chilly draft blows through this decrepit living room.
CD32:
That's a chilly draft blowing through this decrepit old living room.
I like the text in the floppy version better.
So, the CD32 version is all in all better and has some good changes, but also bad ones.

Our planet is home to millions of species of animal and plants with their own habitat, and each plays a unique role in the perfect design of nature. Unfortunately many species of plants and animals are victim of uncontrolled human development. Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilization all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threath of extinction. Besides the threath posed by human development, one of the goals of the United Nations, published years ago in official reports, was to wipe out the cannabis plant from the face of the earth by the year 2010. In reality this is far from being achieved, because man keeps using the cannabis plant for religious, medicinal and recreational purposes no matter what the law says. Most cultures cannot comprehend how a plant can be made illegal. In most people's perception, plants and animals stand above a status of legality or illegality, they just exist in a higher design of nature that goes beyond human laws and regulations. Nevertheless most governments of cannabis-producing countries are implementing drastic measures to destroy crops. Dangerous chemicals are sprayed over fields and over the farmers themselves in most of the third world countries, and the poorest people of the planet are the ones paying the highest price for cultivating a plant that does not kill. But in the economy of scale, where demand dictates supply, the poorest people of the planet have no choice but to cultivate cannabis as a cash crop to feed their children and send them to school. Communities that are isolated in remotes areas in the poorest regions of the planet are often the keepers of very special landraces.
The worldwide prosecution on the cannabis plant generates the need to go hunting for the real landraces that are left in the most remote corners of the planet.
These strains, isolated for decades and sometimes for centuries, costantly inbreeding, are at the origin of all the thousands of variations that we know today in the cannabis industry. In these landraces there are hundreds, maybe thousands of unique cannabinoid profiles that have never been evaluated by the pharmaceutical industry; nevertheless they could be of enormous help in the future, when the knowledge about the medicinal properties of the cannabis plant will advance further. One of these cannabinoid profiles could be hiding the next miracle drug for the treatment of very serious diseases. The concept of strain hunters stems from the need to preserve nature's gifts to man, in a quest for a better future.
Being a strain hunter is a personal challenge, a passion, and a way of life. Strain hunting is a very delicate task, one that involves social skills, a travelling-oriented mindframe and a pinch of crazy. Besides being physically fit, the strain hunter has to speak several languages, be able to blend and socialize in different environments, and has to be willing to commit to a lifestyle on the fast-lane. From the jungles of Africa and Asia to the mountain ranges of South America, the strain hunters are on a mission to bring back the most important and isolated cannabis landraces known to man. The logistical challenges involved in strain-hunting are quite considerable, but Arjan, owner and founder of the Green House empire, has been devoting a great deal passion, time and resources to this task. After two decades spent strain hunting for the breeding programs of the Green House Seed Company, it is now time to show the world what the hunt is all about. Strain Hunters is a brand new series of documentaries, real-life reports of the search for the greatest lost cannabis strains, a deep insight in the typical "day at the office" of the most successful seed makers in the world.

Examples of how seeds move.
December 31st, 2008 by Admin | Videos | No Comments »

WATCH the 2 min 42 sec introduction to the 57 minutes film that we have just completed. As progress moves towards industrialisation and modernisation of farming and food processing a sad casualty is biodiversity as third world and traditional farmers are encouraged to adopt modern hybrid varieties and chemical farming techniques, often unsuited to their environment and needs. Along with this is a loss of traditional knowledge of the cultural, nutritive and medicinal uses of food plants.
This is a small clip from our upcoming documentary film highlighting how traditional farmers act as the preservers of biodiversity and traditional culture. Filmed in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, India, Sri Lanka, Umbria, Taiwan, France and Italy.
