Cruz E A Espada
Composição: Paulo Ricardo / Luiz Schiavon
Havia um tempo,em que eu vivia
Um sentimento quase infantil
Havia o medo e a timidez
Todo um lado que você nunca viu
Agora eu vejo , aquele beijo
Era mesmo o fim
Era o começo do meu desejo
Se perdeu de mim
E agora eu ando
Correndo tanto
Procurando aquele novo lugar
Aquela festa
O que me resta
Encontrar alguém legal pra ficar
Agora eu vejo ,aquele beijo
Era mesmo o fim
Era o começo do meu desejo
Se perdeu de mim (2x)
E agora é tarde
Acordo tarde
Do meu lado alguém que eu nem conhecia
Outra criança adulterada
Pelos anos que a pintura escondia
Agora eu vejo , aquele beijo
Era o fim, o fim
Era o começo do meu desejo
Se perdeu de mim (2x)

Here is one of the rarer items in my collection;
Gioconda de Vito (22nd Jun. 1907 ~ 14th Oct. 1994)
Beethoven:
Romance for violin & orchestra No.2 in F major, op.50
29th May 1948, Abbey Road Studios, London
Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Alberto Erede.
This in an audio enahnced version of an earlier posting of this record. Some computer speakers take this version better...
Hope you like this version!
To my surprice, this is the first
Gioconda de Vito item on youtube... :)
I de-clicked and eq-ed the record myself.
For three years I have a website, where I post "out-of-copyright" (in the Netherlands)
classical lp's and 78rpm's. It is updated every Friday:

Enjoy!

Original Epic Records vinyl 45 RPM of "Hurdy Gurdy Man" by Donovan. Released 6/22/1968 and peaked at #5 on the Billboard charts.
Here's Wikipedia's complete "Behind The Hits" (thank you Bob Shannon!) story about this record:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurdy_Gurdy_Man
Thanks to my sister Lynn, who purchased this record originally.
Here is a GREAT comment posted by a subscriber: "I NEVER realized how different the mono mixes were vs the stereo mixes. The vocals are so much cleaner and clearer, and the guitar sounds much more crisp vs the stereo version (which is all I can find). Thanks again for posting this!"
I responded:
You're welcome! Your comments are dead on - The "hot mono mix" was the version that made this record a hit, and is the mix that the producer focused on, as it was the mono mix that got played on the radio (pop music did not exist on FM stereo radio in the 1960's). The stereo mix was done as an afterthought. Unfortunately today, you only hear the inferior stereo mix. It is through my channel that I'm bringing back for all to hear the original version as it was meant to be heard. Thanks!

Original Capitol Records vinyl 45 RPM of "Bad Time" by Grand Funk (Railroad). Released 4/5/1975 and peaked at #4 on the Billboard charts.
Despite from being a major hit in it's time, this record is rarely heard on radio today. It's one of those "lost oldies".
To hear this in STEREO, add "&fmt=18" to the end of the URL and then refresh. The record will then play in full stereo!
For those who love music like this, we're all discussing it over on the "Oldies Message Board" - found here:

First live action run of the Tesla CD Turbine II with simple hi-speed CD Disc Pack. This particular model of the CD Turbine has no magnets, as well as no shafts, no bearings, no seals and no blades...;)
What it does have, is CD discs modified to allow fluid passage between the discs and the center outlet, then glued together.
It can't do much useful except go around fast and make cool sounds...but it does those things well! Enjoy!
And check out my new "test facilities" for the safety conscious. No rotating blades or blood in this video. (haha)
Speaking of rotating blades...check out my "Pumpkin Cuttin' Ceremony" video to see the CD Turbine PumpkinCutter machine working:

Original London Records vinyl 45 RPM of "Paint It, Black" by The Rolling Stones. Released 5/14/1966 and peaked at #1 for two weeks on the Billboard charts.
Please enjoy the "hot mono mix" of this great song, which sounds so much better than the thin, wimpy stereo mix most often heard today on both oldies and classic rock radio stations.
The powerhouse AM Top 40 radio stations of the 60's, such as WABC in New York City and KHJ in LA only used the original 45 RPM mixes, which they played on the air. If you think this mix sounds powerful, it was incredible when these 50,000 watt flamethrower radio stations cranked up their compression, and then added reverb. This made even AM car radios sound great, which was the whole idea. Sadly, that is something FM radio just can't duplicate today.
The flip side - "Stupid Girl" is posted here:

Original Lionel Records vinyl 45 RPM of "Signs" by the Five Man Electrical Band. Released 5/29/1971 and peaked at #3 on the Billboard charts.
This is the SHORT version played on AM Top 40 Radio when it was a hit. The album version has an extended intro at the beginning of the song.
Yes - all you long haired freaky people can unite behind this song!
